Spending time in the sunny garden

It’s finally here, the sun!
The light is there in the morning and when we return back home in the afternoon.
We spend more and more time outside and enjoy the life coming back. Winter is finally going away.
We spend the weekend at the country cottage and the whole family was very engaged in preparing the garden for the summer. It’s hard work now in the beginning but if the job is done correctly then the garden will be amazing in the summer. I love teaching the children about nature and showing them how plants grow, I think they like it as much as we do.
The pictures were taken in the middle of the day and the sun was harsh so it was quite difficult to take great pictures. When the sun is harsh like this all the colours get so intensive and it was very difficult to work with Olivia’s red hoodie in the post production.
I was using my 105 mm lens and I love the sharpness in it and that you can get very close. Think I will start using it much more when photographing the kids.

Then it was time for hard work.

We planted a new tree, hopefully this one will stand the hard climate.

They both were very engaged in the processes

Then it was time for my workout.

It was quite exhausting running around with them, but they loved it and we all had a blast.

And while we were packing the car and preparing for leaving Olivia remembered that she needed to paly on her swing. She has really become so good at swinging on her own now.
